Sunday I mentioned The Single Worst Thing For Sale that I like to find at conventions.  This picture was snapped at Wizard World 2010 and there’s a lot to like about it.  First of all, and it may be hard to tell with the perspective on the picture, this stack is no less than about 75 issues deep.  If you and 74 of your closest friends are looking for quality, you’ve come to the right place.  Second, there is a little blurb in the upper left corner of the comic that says ‘1st Issue Collectors Item’.  I dont think they intended anyone to buy 70 or 80 of them in hopes that you’ll sell them for a buck a piece in 15 years.  Finally, this issue has a cover price of 3.50, and they were being sold for a dollar an issue, for a sweet ROI of -2.50.  Charles Schwab says that I should be in the positive when investing, but I like to think outside the box.

Stack of Cable #1’s, you are the esteemed winner of TSWTFS at Wizard World 2010!

Sadly, this isn’t a Rob Liefeld cover.
